If you're anything like me, you have a passion for crafting whimsical seasonal decorations, and these Santas are a perfect addition to your collection!
To create these charming Santa decorations, you'll need a few supplies:
Wooden Spoon
Material or a wide ribbon
Faux Fur
Hot Glue
Snow Tex
Diamond Dust Glitter
Small wooden bead (split in half)
Rope (Dollar Tree has some)
Artificial embellishment (Holly leaves were my choice)
Jute or ribbon
Acrylic paints (I used Antique White, Black, and Red)
I found my wooden spoons at Family Dollar, and the faux fur was ordered from Amazon
Begin by painting the spoons and wood beads with Antique White.
I only painted one coat of that color.
I then took my Red paint and did my cheeks . Remember to start very light then you can darken it if you like .
Also add a touch of red on the bead for the nose as well!
I took my black paint and did two simple dots . I used the end of my liner paint brush to create the eyes.
Fold your wide ribbon in half and glue it down the middle, ensuring it's slightly longer than your spoon about 4 to 5" Squish it down to create ripples, then add a bit of glue at the top of the handle.
I also tied a piece of Jude around it and tied a bow .
I cut the faux fur in half to reduce its width, then glued it around the head.
It looks adorable!
I cut long pieces of rope, then I pulled them apart, and glued the strands around the bottom of the spoon to make a full beard.
I created a mustache and securely glue the nose on.
I applied the Snow Tex here and there, and add a little Holly embellishments to the hat.
While the Snow Tex was still wet, I sprinkled some Diamond Dust Glitter for a magical touch.
I repeated the process for the second Santa, using different ribbons and faux fur for a variety of different looks!
The end result is two adorable Santas that will add a festive charm to your seasonal décor.
