Shelf setter Heart

Writer's picture: fatimamhollandfatimamholland

If you have followed me for a little bit you know how much I love creating with cardboard!

Here's another budget friendly project you need to create!

It's a perfect shelf setter . It will bring a touch of elegance in any area of your home !

Supplies you will need.

• Cardboard

• hot glue

• Elmers glue or Mod Podge

• Tissue paper

• scrapbook paper

• twine

• embellishments of your choosing

I got my cardboard and started cutting out hearts I freehanded the hearts I wanted from large to small . I cut out 6 hearts

It's easier to fold your cardboard in half then draw out half of your heart .

Please make sure you are drawing it from the fold of your cardboard so when you cut it out both sides of your heart are even .

This is the best and easiest way to cut them out.

Then peel the paper off of every other heart I love that look!

I left a little paper on them so it's not completely off .

This is the look you are going for .

The hearts I didn't peel I decoupaged my scrapbook paper choose whatever paper you want .

I used Elmers clear glue for this .

You can use Mod Podge if you like .

Then I started hot gluing my hearts together when they were done .

I love this paper !

It's looking pretty cute already!

This is my last little heart to glue .

I used Hot glue to glue them all together!

This is what it should look like .

This step is totally up to you .

I took my Dixie Belle Brown wax and grunged it up a bit !

I love that look !

I think it gives it a more vintage look.

I took my twine and wrapped a little of it around my hearts . I glued the the beginning of the twine and the end when I was done wrapping it .

I wrapped it about 4 times .

I then made these beautiful roses from tissue paper .

You can refer to this blog I linked below for some similar flowers I did on another blog .

I will do a separate blog just for these tissue flowers!

I made two flowers they are just beautiful!

I also dropped a link below for some similar tissue I used .

I got this tissue I used at Hobby Lobby.

I added this fun rusty key to the twine after creating the bow .

I also glued this button to the bow also !

I just love how beautiful it looks !

Of course I had to add a little sparkle this is fine glitter .

I used this hair spray that I use for crafting to spray on then sprinkle a little glitter! It holds really well!

It's so sparkly!

I just added it to the flower area.

That's it ! It's amazing how plan ordinary cardboard can be transformed into something so beautiful and just so elegant!

A perfect touch in any room!

I hope you get creative and give this a try !
