Santa made with a brush!

I always get so excited to start creating for the Holiday season!

I love all the possibilities this wonderful season brings!

Like this whimsical Santa that I made with a cleaning brush !

Supplies you will need:

• Bathroom Brush

• Material

• small lightbulb or wooden knob for nose.

• antique white, red , brunt umber and black paint

• wire for glasses

• fluffy material for the rim of Santa’s face

• black beads or buttons for eyes

• snow Tex or spackling

• Diamond Dust glitter

• greenery and berries for embellishment

• material for face and hat

• wood burning tool

• hot glue

• a little piece of cardboard

• twine

Once you get your supplies you are ready to begin!

I took my wood burning tool and shorten the handle .

Cut a piece of cardboard like this for the face . I used a egg carton for this .

Then I covered it with material.

I used a grunge sock I already had on hand .

It should look like this .

Then I glued it on my brush like this .

I cut my piece of material about 17 inches long and about 4 inches wide .

You will have something like this .

Then go ahead and glue the seam together.

Once I had my hat glue I gave my face some cheeks .

Then I glued my fluffy rim . I used left over Dandelions that I had made .

Here’s the Blog for the Dandelion incase you want to make some .

I then squished the hat down so it would look bunched up a little like this .

Then I tied it with a little twine and added a bow .

I took my lightbulb and painted it Antique White

I gave it a couple of coats .

Let it dry well between each coat .

I then grunged it up a bit with a wash of Brunt Umber any brown will do.

Once dry I then glued his nose on .

I took my small beads for the eyes and painted them black .

Let them dry well .

I took a bendable piece of wire and made some small glasses!

I then glued his eyes and glasses.

I also gave his nose a little red for color.

I then got my greenery and embellished his hat .

I added a little snow .

I really love using this spackling when I don’t have Snow Tex it works extremely well!

I then sprinkled my glitter!

I added some snow to his bread and hat then sprinkled more glitter on them too.

Here he is ! Soooo darn adorable!
