Writer's picture: fatimamhollandfatimamholland

I absolutely love creating ornaments!

Especially for Christmas!

This Vintage Poinsettia Christmas ornament turned out so beautiful and it’s just so easy to create! ❤️🎄

I know you will want to make them too!

Supplies you will need:

• ornament from Family Dollar

• Poinsettia print from Decoupage Central

• cinnamon

• hot glue

• white paint I used acrylic

• Antique White acrylic paint

• Burnt Umber acrylic paint

• embellishments for your ornament

• spray Sealer

• clear Elmer’s glue or mod Podge

• Diamond Dust glitter

• trim for your ornament

Ok once you have gathered your supplies you are ready to create !

I gave my ornament a coat of white to cover the writing that was on it .

I wasn’t worried about covering it completely because I knew I was going to cover it with the Poinsettia print.

I covered my ornament with clear Elmer’s glue to decoupage my print on .

You can use Mod Podge if you prefer.

This is such a beautiful print !

I love all the choices you have at Decoupage Central!

Once it dried I sanded the edges.

I then made my trim .

I decided to use my Hot Glue and my mold to make my trim !

I love doing this .

Once my glue dried I painted my trim Antique White .

Then I lightly brushed on a little Burnt Umber for that grunge look. 😀

This is such a easy way to make your own trim!

I then glued my trim on my ornament.

I also painted the little metal piece on top of the ornament.

I then brushed on a little clear glue on the metal top piece and sprinkled some cinnamon on it .

After it dried I started adding my embellishments

I had some Christmas greenery on hand and it had little pinecones on it already!

Then I added some Holly Leaves and some pretty pearls beads.

I just love how it’s looking!

Of course you can’t forget the Glitter! 😀❤️

I sprayed a little sealer and sprinkled some Diamond dust glitter!

BEAUTIFUL! So Christmasy !
