I love creating with book pages!
Especially when I can rescue them and turn them into something else that you can continue to enjoy again!
You will need very little supplies for these!
• Book Pages you will need enough to make 24 pieces
• Hot glue
• scissors
• piece of twine or ribbon
• pen , pencil or marker
• card stock paper or thin piece of cardboard for your template
• beads or anything else you choose to embellish your ornament with
One you have everything you are ready to create!
Here is the pattern for the ornament.
You can make it as big or as little as you like .
Once you cut one out that will be your template.
I cut mine out of card stock paper so it’s stiffer and easier to trace the other ones from .
I folded my page in half and proceeded to trace and cut my pattern.
I cut out 24 pieces.
Once you cut them they should look like this .
Remember your paper is folded so your ornament pieces will be folded in half already.
I went ahead and glued each one in the middle like this .
I used hot glue.
Then you should have this .
Everyone has been glued in the middle.
I then put 2 strips of hot glue one on each side like this .
I started layering all my folded pieces on top of each other.
You should have a stack like this .
I then glued my twine to create my hanger.
I had these beautiful pearl beads so I glued one on top and one on the bottom.
You can decorate yours the way you like.
I just loved the elegance of the ornament itself so I chose to keep it simple!
There you have !
I just love how this Book Page Ornament came out!
They look so beautiful as ornaments on a tree or hung on a garland!
You could even attach them to gifts!
They would also look exquisite in a dough bowl!
